For business
Send client files without sending them to another continent.
When a client asks where their documents went, “a server in Germany, encrypted with its own key” is an answer you can give. The rest of Yungle is built to keep it that simple.
Office manager at a twelve-person firm
A week with Marieke.
Monday
Contracts out, with a password.
The signed agreements go out as a transfer with a password and an expiry date Marieke chooses. When the client downloads them, she sees it.
Secure sharingTuesday
Twelve clients, twelve upload links.
Instead of chasing receipts by email, each client gets a request link. Everything they upload lands in their own folder, scanned for viruses on arrival.
File requestsWednesday
Colleagues in the same account.
The two partners and the bookkeeper work in one workspace with shared contacts and collections — and billing stays with the firm, not with whoever signed up first.
TeamsFriday
A client asks where their data lives.
Marieke has a short answer: on servers in Germany, each file encrypted with its own key, under a data processing agreement anyone can read.

What stays your call
- Whether a given file needs more than the default encryption. For the most sensitive material, use the vault or an end-to-end encrypted transfer, where we never hold the key.
- Your own retention policy. We delete what you tell us to delete, when you tell us to.
- Yungle runs on a single server with no service level agreement. If guaranteed uptime is a requirement, we are not the right fit yet.
Questions, answered.
Ask us something elseDo you sign a data processing agreement?
Yes. The data processing agreement is published on the site and covers every account; you do not need to request or negotiate it separately.
Where are our files stored?
On servers in Germany, at Hetzner. Nightly database backups are kept in an EU-jurisdiction bucket at a second provider, so a single outage cannot take both.
Can we delete everything if we leave?
Yes. You can export or delete your account and its files yourself, from settings, at any time.
