1. The service
Yungle lets you send files via time-limited transfer links and, on a paid plan, organize them into shareable albums. Files are encrypted at rest and stored in the EU on Hetzner. Free transfers are capped at 5 GB and expire after 7 days; paid plans provide 100 GB (Yungle Leaf) or 1 TB (Yungle Tree) of storage with 90-day per-file retention.
2. Accounts
Accounts use passwordless email sign-in. You are responsible for the security of your email inbox, as anyone with access to it can sign in. You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Yungle to store, send, or share:
- Content that is illegal under EU or applicable national law, including CSAM, which we report to the competent authorities.
- Material that infringes someone else’s copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
- Malware, phishing kits, or content intended to defraud or harm others.
- Unsolicited bulk messaging (spam) or content that harasses or endangers others.
We operate a notice-and-action process under the EU Digital Services Act. Anyone can flag content via the “Report” link on a shared page. On a valid report we may remove content by cryptographically shredding its encryption keys, rendering it permanently unrecoverable, and may suspend the responsible account.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload. You grant Yungle only the limited, technical permissions needed to store, encrypt, transmit, generate previews of, and deliver your files at your direction. We do not sell your content or use it to train models.
5. Payment & renewal
Paid plans are €5 per month (Yungle Leaf, 100 GB) or €10 per month (Yungle Tree, 1 TB), billed through Mollie. They renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can switch between plans at any time from your account. You can cancel any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. We never delete paid data without notice — a lapsed subscription enters a grace period with reminders before any content is affected.
6. Availability & liability
We work hard to keep Yungle available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Yungle is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under EU consumer law. Keep your own copies of important files.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time, which erases your files and keys immediately. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the law.
8. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Questions: legal@yungle.co.
